We all know how important it is to teach children lessons on self-respect, respect for others, and how to make positive life choices. Puppetry is a fun and effective tool for doing just that. Here you’ll find a variety of puppet shows, each with their own unique lesson, that are available for your preschool and K-5 students. Book your shows today!
Discover Math and Science is a delightful puppet show that introduces basic math and science concepts to preschoolers. MicheLee Puppets has created a unique table top stage with multiple pop down scenes and a shadow puppet screen. The beautiful scenery and endearing puppet characters transport children into the world of imagination and discovery. Through puppetry, music, and rhyming songs, Pre-K and Kindergarten children learn about the seasons, the importance of bees for growing our food, and introductory math concepts such as counting and shapes.
The Upstander League challenges students to move from the role of “bystander” (the person who sees bullying happen) to “upstander” (a person who stands up to bullies and stands up for victims). The Upstander League program helps schools meet bully prevention mandates by defining bullying and the different types of bullying (physical, verbal, social, cyber). Students practice specific tactics that bystanders can take to become upstanders and to help stop the bullying. Your school will gain a framework and resources to create your own Upstander League and a learning environment where bullying is NOT “cool.”
A Good Day for Pancake targets Kindergarten through second grade students with a puppet show that encourages empathy and demonstrates to children how they can be a good friend to victims and stand up to bullies. The show features endearing and cuddly animal hand puppets that interact directly with our young audiences. Children are engaged in call and response and learn songs about reporting (not tattling) bullying behavior.
Rhyme Time is centered on literacy for your youngest learners. Rhyme, rhythm, and repetition are critically important in preparing children to read. Using whimsical paper puppets and a delightful over-sized pop-up book as a background, this enchanting puppet show will have young children laughing and learning essential pre-reading skills.
In the game show tradition, wacky and entertaining puppet characters, along with your students and teachers, face a series of challenges, battles of wit, and puppetry mayhem. Children laugh and learn about the importance of good nutrition and active lifestyles. Program includes live puppet show; Teacher Activity Guides; colorful posters; and puppet videos to keep the healthy messaging alive all year long!
